John W. Seltzer, CLU, LUTCF

John Seltzer, who heads our health and welfare benefits consulting practice, joined Brand Burstin & Runnette in 1987 and initiated the firm’s employee benefits practice.

Since joining BBR, John has completed course work in Business Insurance, Advanced Life Insurance Sales, Estate Planning, Qualified Retirement Plans and Employee Benefits. He holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from The American College. Prior to joining BBR, he had 15 years of service in retail sales and management.

Active in the western Pennsylvania community, he also has served as a member of the American Heart Association, the Associates Program at the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business Administration, a board member of the Mt. Lebanon School District, a founding member, past president and current board member of the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education, a board member of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Alumni Association and a board member of the Community College of Allegheny County Foundation.

John graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. degree in Political Science and Economics.
